Material Handler - Aurora IL

Starting Pay: $18.48

Hiring Shifts: 1st Shift. Overtime on business need

As a Material Handler/Forklift Operator, you will be a crucial part of our operations, ensuring that a quality product is available to our customers when they need them. Your work will directly affect people's lives!

Primary Responsibilities

• Work will be in warehouse doing functions such as: receiving, storing, and distributing material, tools, equipment, and products within establishments.


• Load and unload product to and from delivery vehicles and designated storage areas.


• Reads production schedule, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.


• Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.


• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to a predetermined sequence, such as: size, type, style, color, or product code. Operates gas or electric powered forklift truck to move, stack, load or unload materials, parts, finished goods, etc., hoists, and other equipment.


• Maintain accurate records and monitor progress of scheduled work orders.


• Perform inventory cycle counts and assist in preparing plant for inventory.


• Handle raw materials, which could include Hazardous Materials, for production.


• Communicate wit site leadership and other team members verbally and with email.


• Safely and efficiently operate robotic palletizers, stretch wrappers, empty container de- palletizer and conveyors.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate a stand-up forklift in a safe and responsible manner, wear seatbelt.


• Ability to lift to 50 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the day.


• Math skills including addition, subtraction multiplication, and division.


• Basis computer skills and ability to use computer programs and RF Guns.


• Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred.


• Able to wear PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) including gloves, safety glasses, face shields, ear plugs, hard hats, and other PPE as required.


• Ability to stand for extended periods of time, climb ladders, stairs, maneuver around equipment, manipulate vales, bend, reach, kneel, stack pallets, work from heights up to 20-25 feet and other related tasks.


• Ability to work any job, work holidays and overtime as needed.
