Job Description



An Associate PLM Scientist handles routine tasks and approvals in the PLM system. They are familiar with at least one PLM database software system, and can work with limited supervision to support updates, maintain data quality, and execute data verification initiatives according to NFL internal and client specific business rules. The Associate will work directly with the client under supervision.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Demonstrates and promotes the company vision

  • Under direction, supports Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) project activities such as but not limited to:

    • Identifies and executes tasks and next steps

    • Completes and submits work for review

    • Executes approvals by rubric or other approved set of rules

    • Engages with third-party vendors and internal stakeholders and communicates information requests in a very clear and succinct manner

    • Completes first drafts of data reviews, analysis of progress, and tracking and submits to supervisor for review and compilation

    • Reviews documentation for accuracy and compliance

    • Identifies gaps and/or missing information and communicates to client or appropriate contact

    • Maintains and updates documentation as required

    • Works within specialized PLM software systems and is capable of running queries

    • Contributes to process improvement initiatives



  • Collaborates and communicates with project leaders, colleagues, and subject matter experts effectively

  • Collaborates with internal and external resources to find solutions

  • Ensures appropriate and timely communication of key information among team and supervisor

  • Establishes and maintains professional rapport with colleagues

  • Follows SOPs and best practices under minimal supervision

  • Participates in meetings and conference calls

  • Reads and responds to emails, phone calls in a timely manner

  • Maintains documentation, organizes computer and hard copy files for corporate records and sharing.

  • Keeps updated and educated on relevant news, literature and findings in the industry

  • Regular attendance and punctuality

  • Seeks out information/facilities to get the job completed

  • Travels to various Eurofins and client locations to support studies and projects

  • Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner

  • Performs other duties as assigned




Qualifications



To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill or ability required.



Education Minimum Required:



  • Bachelor's degree in food science/technology, engineering, science, quality, data science or related field.


Experience Minimum Required:



  • One to four years of experience in PLM functions in the food, beverage, or dietary supplement industries


The Ideal Candidate:



  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) as well as database applications

  • Ability to execute multiple assignments/ tasks

  • Ability to build rapport with project stakeholders

  • Ability to maintain a mindset focused on continuous improvement

  • Knowledge of food and supplement regulations (FDA, CFR, Labeling, Nutrition) would be an asset
