Meet the team:



The Federal Territory Business Manager will be responsible for development, management, and implementation of sales strategies within the VA & DoD markets, increasing sales and market share at targeted accounts. You will work in collaboration with a team of proven sales professionals and experience clinical educators. You must live in the territory ( MO, KS, NE, IA, MN, ND, SD).


Candidates for consideration must have strong teamwork capabilities, interpersonal skills and the ability to coordinate activities with multiple departments within the Dexcom organization. Ability to promote products to a wide range of providers to increase sales and utilization is a must. Candidates will be required to access and understand the complexities of the VA & DoD markets, as well as possess the ability to work effectively within these systems as it relates to their specific policies and procedures. Developing and maintain relationships ranging from target account administrators, pharmacy staff, local P&T representatives, and policy makers in addition to all appropriate medical staff is required. Candidate will need to reside in the territory. Experience in Federal Government Healthcare Sales is highly preferred. Prior military experience is beneficial.



Where you come in:



  • You will develop a strategic and tactical sales plan for Dexcom products across all Accounts in territory.

  • You will lead the execution of this sales plan across Accounts

  • You will lead pursuit of Account sales opportunities.

  • You will manage key decision makers in the federal Marketplace and promote Dexcom products to related health care providers.

  • You will develop and deliver customized presentations to internal and external audiences to increase awareness of and support for our sales initiatives and collaborations.

  • You will facilitate and provide timely marketplace feedback to Dexcom management regarding customer business trends, industry issues and business opportunities.




What makes you successful:



  • You have prior sales experience in diabetes market, with expertise in the Federal healthcare system preferred.

  • You have as history of sales success, with experience in the Federal Healthcare arena preferred

  • You have existing relationships within the VA and/or DoD preferred

  • You have knowledge of the issues, trends and needs of VA/DoD customers

  • You have a comprehensive understanding of all Federal distribution channels

  • You have successful experience with new product and expanded indication launches

  • You have demonstrated ability to work and integrate planning across functional areas

  • You have successfully been able to foster a vision and gain commitment from internal and external customers

Travel Required:





  • 50-75%




Experience and Education Requirements:



  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8-12 years of related experience.

  • At this level a graduate degree may be desirable with 4 years of related experience
