Position OverviewStudent office assistant provides administrative support to faculty, staff, and researchers at the KU airport facilities north of Lawrence. Normal hours are 10 hours/week during the semester and up to 40 hours/week during breaks.
Successful candidates will have strong computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as being self-motivated, reliable, and able to work diligently.Job Description
Perform clerical tasks; including, filing, data entry, copying, scanning, drafting and editing documents
Coordinate with department office manager and laboratory coordinators
Coordinate with other departments including CReSIS, the Shared Service Center, and Engineering TSC
Assist with purchasing and creating purchase orders
Maintain office supplies and equipment, including audio/visual and printers
Schedule meetings including in-person and virtual
Point of contact concerning Flight Research Lab operations
Assist in coordination of flight tests
Required Qualifications
Minimum KU GPA of 3.0
Proficient in MS Office
Have source of transportation to airport facilities
KU Student must be enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours each semester during the academic year. Enrollment of one (1) hour during the summer session is required if the student was not enrolled in the previous spring or is not pre-enrolled in the upcoming fall term.

Prior customer service experience
Student majoring in a business field
