Worcester Eisenbrandt , a commercial historical restoration construction company, is seeking an experienced "Finishing Carpenter" for its Baltimore mill shop.
General Job Qualifications/ Responsibilities:
Knowledge of finishing systems
Color matching skill
Experience with touch up and field repair of clear finishes and stains
Match original finish appearance and create finishing system spec.
Fit and install Commercial prefabricated window frames, doors, door frames, weather stripping, interior and exterior trim and finish hardware, such as locks, letter drops, and kick plates.
Restoration of wood cornices, doors, windows and other needed wood restoration.
Installation of restored items.
Produces carpentry products and services by following standards and procedures; measuring results against standards; making necessary adjustments.
Ensures construction quality by verifying "trueness" of structure with plumb bob, carpenter's level, and other measurements.
Ensures operation of carpentry equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
Physical Requirements
Strong work ethic of integrity and honesty strives for excellence in all activities employing accompanying communication.
Able to wear common (FIT) protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and hard hats when needed.
Able to lift 50 pounds.
