Job Description:

H2M Architects + Engineers, a multidiscipline architectural, engineering, environmental consulting firm in Melville, NY seeks an MEP BIM/CAD Specialist. Working with Engineers in creating, developing, and implementing BIM/CAD standards and systems for the H2M MEP Discipline.

Job Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for day-to-day technical support on design projects including design adaptation, construction documentation, modeling, and creating customized content.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of MEP Discipline BIM/CAD standards and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain MEP Discipline standard BIM templates, families, schedules, parameters, details, and libraries.
  • Provide BIM production support for project teams, including project model setup and discipline project work.
  • Create Revit families in response to project needs.
  • Assist in training of internal BIM/CAD users.
  • Verify BIM Models adhere to internal and client specific goals and standards.
  • Monitor project delivery to ensure compliance with the agreed upon strategy, standards, and work processes.
  • Resolve conflicts as they come up between the design and construction documents and intent of project per specification and contract requirements.
  • Work with the MEP to produce high-quality rendering and design to meet and exceed client needs.
  • Work as an integral part of the MEP Discipline aligned with H2M's mission, vision, and values.
  • Meet utilization goals for billable time assistance to projects.
  • Support various teams as needed by scheduling discussions/meetings and follow-up on training needs and overall project delivery.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors' s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or related field is preferred.
  • Must have an in-depth knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit and related software.

  • Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency and meet challenging work goals.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with others, take direction as well as work independently.
  • Must be able to manage priorities with minimal guidance.
  • Must possess and maintain exceptional work ethic.
  • Willingness to learn and work collaboratively with various levels of employees throughout the firm.
