Job Description:

Vericast is looking to add an AP Master Vendor Analyst to their team! In this role, you will contribute to and implement the vendor master data strategy, priorities, standards, and improvement plans in collaboration with the Accounts Payable, Organizational Process owners, Procurement, IT and the Business. As AP Master Vendor Analyst, you will be:


  • Responsible for oversight, management, and accuracy of the company's vendor records

  • Accountable for the vendor master data environment.

  • Ensuring all creation, change, and deactivation activities performed are authorized, accurate, and complete.

  • Directly supports Accounts Payable Manager in day-to-day operations and with 1099 reporting requirements.

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accountable for the vendor master data environment, and activities associated with Vendor Master creation, changes, and deactivations are performed according to IRS regulations, best practices, and any established organizational standards and/or policies.

  • Support implementation of organizations vendor master data strategy, standards, and improvement plans.

  • Assist with external and internal controls for Vendor Master Data and adherence to SOX or other control compliance.

  • Review and propose changes to Vendor Master data policies and procedures as dictated by market and company changes and/or industry in addition to changes in personnel, department practices, and systems.

  • Identify and present solutions for continuous process improvement.

  • Supports Accounts Payable Manager and team with day-to-day operations as it relates to Vendor Set Up and 1099 reporting requirements.

EDUCATION

  • Associate degree in accounting finance or other business-related field and/or

  • 5-8 or more years' experience in Accounts Payable, Vendor Master or related field.


EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS

  • This position requires a detailed understanding of procure-to-pay (P2P) processes, systems, and policies.

  • Expert in best practice master data management strategies and tactics including organization, governance, processes, policies, and technologies.

  • Understanding of tax reporting requirements for vendors both domestic and foreign.

  • Someone who is proven to be proactive, a self-starter, who operates with the highest level of integrity and honesty, reliable and trustworthy.

  • Ability to operate independently and in collaboration with other upstream/downstream stakeholders/functional teams.

  • Excellent communication skills, ability to engage effectively with stakeholders from across the organization, promoting continuous improvement and process standards.

  • Understands change management and assists internal customers providing guidance and training with regards to Vendor Master Data processes.

  • Highly organized with the ability to plan, assign, direct, manage, and perform work as required.

  • Ability to assess risk and define/apply operational quality standards/controls.

  • Provide data and root cause analysis to support continuous process improvement.

  • Excellent knowledge of financial systems and how Accounts Payable operates.

  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen.

  • Participate on teams as related to system upgrades, acquisitions, divestitures, and any other project work as assigned.

Base Salary: $50,000-$65,000

The ultimate compensation offered for the position will depend upon several factors such as skill level, cost of living, experience, and responsibilities.
