Overview of Role
As a Junior Estimator, you will play a vital role in our project estimation process. You'll collaborate with senior estimators, project managers, and architects to assess project requirements, analyze costs, and prepare accurate estimates for envelope-related construction projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity for growth and learning within the construction industry.
Your Responsibilities:
Review architectural plans, specifications, and project scopes to understand envelope-related requirements.
Collaborate with project teams to gather necessary information for cost estimation.
Conduct quantity take-offs for materials, labor, and subcontractor services.
Utilize estimating software and spreadsheets to create detailed project estimates.
Assist in bid preparation and submission.
Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits.
Learn and apply industry best practices for envelope construction and energy efficiency.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam).
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Enthusiasm for learning and growing in the construction industry.
Prior experience in estimating or construction-related internships is a plus.
