This position is a member of the Sales/Marketing Department. The Technical Parts Sales Representative will report directly to the Customer Service Manager and is responsible for assisting customers and Replacement Parts Group (RPG) parts sales, primarily inside sales.
Job Description
Primary Responsibilities
Interface with customers via phone, e-mail and internet. To place and input orders and quotes. (Internal Sales)
Answer all customer inquiries using available information and resources
Quote items as requested
Quote follow-up
Notify customers of delivery or pricing discrepancies
Assist customers with specific needs regarding order placement and/or follow up
Determines part number and/or components required
Input orders
Review order status changes with customer
Expedite orders as requested by customer
Maintain Open Order Report on a weekly basis
Collaborate with Purchasing, Accounting, Production Control, Technical Support and Service, Sales and Engineering as required.
Provide accurate data as requested by various departments regarding customer request and quotes
Provide/maintain sales figures
Maintain system pricing structures
As required, review and modify (as required) pricing structures and identify problem areas to appropriate department
Adjust pricing as required with approval of immediate supervisor.
Maintain customer database
Maintain customer information, shipment method, ship to addresses, and terms and conditions
Maintain order and quote files. RPG correspondence
Maintain files in neat and orderly manner
Assign serial numbers for tooling
Assign serial numbers for tooling purchased via RPG
Collaborate with stakeholders to monitor Inventory Management
Safety stock plans
Obsolete inventory plans
Promoting new products and parts programs directly to customers
Job Requirements
Education
Bachelors Degree with 0-2 years of job-specific experience (manufacturing preferred)
Associates Degree with 3-5 years of job-specific experience (manufacturing preferred)
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent with at least five years of job-specific experience (manufacturing preferred)
Skills & Relevant Work Experience
Demonstrated experience of communicating effectively both in verbal and written forums
Demonstratable sales experience/skills
Industrial equipment knowledge and experience (preferred)
Effectively manage multiple tasks throughout the day amidst constant changing priorities
Expertise in working effectively with all types of internal and external customers with tight deadlines and deliverables
Office 365 software package proficiency
Basic Technical Knowledge of Bartell Equipment and Parts (preferred)
Working knowledge and ability to read engineering drawings and schematics
