Job Description:

Are you looking for a fun summer job working right on the water? Safe Harbor Harbors View marina is looking for some smiling, friendly hardworking people to join our amazing crew. These positions are responsible for performing a wide variety of tasks including but not limited to delivering excellent customer service while assisting customers with finding, selecting and purchasing the right product, general operation of the marina and assisting in any way needed. They must work to maintain a safe and clean environment throughout the marina facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

May through September WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS ARE REQUIRED
Provide SHM members and customers with the best experience possible
Greet all customers in a manner that expresses a kind, courteous, friendly and professional character
Help orient members and guests to the marina, facilities, and answer commonly asked questions
Assist customers with general boating/fueling needs
Maintain clean restrooms, docks, walkways, grounds and other areas designated by management
Ensure docks and equipment are operational at all times
Comply with OSHA regulations, environmental regulations, and adhere to all site rules and expectations
Assist with day-to-day operations
Create an atmosphere that allows guests to feel welcome, comfortable, important, and relaxed
Operate cash register, complete paperwork and required counts
Receive and process stock inventory, assist with stock management
Perform basic cleaning inside and outside the store including trash and restrooms
Process exchanges, returns, and refunds in accordance with company policies
Maintain a clean and organized environment
Other duties as assigned by Manager

Safety and Environmental Responsibilities

Follow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and complete required related training
Wear proper personal protective equipment (may include safety glasses, gloves, life jackets and/or hard hats) as required for the task or work area
Report all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately

Technical and Physical Requirements

Ability to work safely around the water
Must be able to swim
Ability to lift 30 pounds
Basic boat handling skills preferred
Previous marina experience preferred
Customer Service experience preferred
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to bend, stoop, lift, rotate, and reach
