What you will do

As our Plant Controller, you will hold a pivotal position, offering not just analysis, but also valuable counsel, advice, and recommendations to empower plant management in making strategic operating decisions. Your insights will be instrumental in driving cost reductions, enhancing profitability, and maximizing return on investment, all while aligning with our overarching goals and plans.  This role is located at our Toledo facility.  

How you will do it

• Preparing or supervising preparation of all periodic financial control reports such as payroll analysis, scrap accounting, etc. and coordinates the taking of physical inventories. 




• Establishing and maintaining all plant level inventory accounting controls and develops special programs such as daily reporting on an exception basis to correct problem situations.  Advises and assists responsible line supervision to achieve desired results.




• Performing reconciliation for fixed assets and capital in progress to General Ledger for their location. 




• Assisting in preparation/review of CAR financial justifications for plant capital projects. 




• Tracking capital project spending, timing and cost impact against project plan, forecasts and budget to understand and report variances. 




• Working with project manager to assure timely capitalization of equipment placed in use.  Assist/perform sample CAR post audits to verify savings. 




• Assists corporate and divisional systems personnel in the implementation and continued reliability of plant IT systems. 




• Analyzes plant operating costs in detail and recommends action to increase profitability and enhance long-term return on investment.




• Supervising the preparation and distribution of hourly payrolls, including maintaining the required earnings and deductions records.




• Develops and monitors effectiveness of processes and procedures to establish and maintain the integrity of financial and related operating data.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor of Science, major in Accounting or Finance or BBA Accounting/Finance




• Minimum 5 years of experience

Nice to have skill/experience:

• Prior experience working in manufacturing setting




• OneStream and Power BI experience

Toledo - Fully Integrated Plant 

Our Toledo, Ohio fully integrated plant manufactures batteries used in automotive and marine applications. This is our largest plant at Clarios. We opened our facility in 1981 and now employ more than 700 people and operate six days per week.
