Job Summary

The primary responsibility of this role is to assist with TriWest's Information Security Governance, Risk, and Compliance initiatives supporting compliance with NIST 800-171 and regulatory requirements. The IT Security GRC Analyst will be responsible for collaborating with individuals and teams across the organization to facilitate continuous improvement and adherence with corporate policies, processes, and standards as it relates to information security.

Education & Experience

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related area of study required
• 2+ years of IT Security Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) experience
• Experience writing polices and performing risk assessments related to IT Security
• At least one of the preferred certifications

Preferred:

• Industry certifications (CGRC, CRISC, CISM, CISSP, GISP or similar)
• Experience with NIST 800-171 and 800-53

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with all ongoing compliance activities related to the implementation, maintenance, monitoring, and continuous improvement of the Information Security Management System (ISMS).
• Assist with the implementation and operation of GRC tooling to further improve and automate processes.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of information security controls and performance by developing, monitoring, gathering, and analyzing information security and compliance metrics for management.
• Perform third party risk assessments to maintain oversight of vendors/subcontractors.
• Assist with the creation and maintenance of security policy, process, standards, and awareness training across the organization in compliance with applicable privacy policy & regulations.
• Perform activities to monitor and assess the security, risk and privacy controls on an ongoing basis.
• Monitor changes to the environment to identify if those changes compromise security.
• Investigate cybersecurity incidents with minimal assistance.
• Work with the business units to remediate identified issues with minimal assistance.

• Assist in process improvements to enhance the efficiency of current operational procedures.
• Effectively deal with rapid change in a positive manner.
• Participate in creating communications and presentations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Regular and reliable attendance is required.

*Annual base salary for Colorado, Hawaii and Washington State residents: $85,000-$95,000 depending on experience*
