Responsibilities:
Proof technical automotive tool manuals from English to French Canadian while maintaining accuracy, clarity, and consistency in terminology.
Ensure that translated content accurately conveys the meaning and intent of the original material.
Research and verify technical terms and concepts specific to the Automotive Industry to ensure correct translation.
Collaborate with the editorial team to review and revise translated content as needed.
Adhere to project deadlines and deliver translated materials in a timely manner.
Communicate effectively with project managers and other team members to clarify requirements and address any translation-related issues.
Maintain confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information throughout the translation process.
Requirements:
Native-level proficiency in French Canadian with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in English, with a strong understanding of technical automotive terminology and concepts.
Proven experience in technical translation, particularly within the Automotive Industry.
Familiarity with translation tools and software (e.g., SDL Trados, MemoQ) is preferred.
Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy and consistency.
Ability to work independently and efficiently under tight deadlines.
Strong research skills and the ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts.
Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
