Position Summary
BioSciences at Rice is seeking applications for a Teaching Laboratory Manager. The Department of BioSciences sponsors the following undergraduate major concentrations in BioSciences: Biochemistry, Cell Biology and Genetics, Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, and Integrative Biology. We are investigating fundamental properties of living organisms and impacts on the future quality of life on earth.
In support of the department's educational mission, the successful candidate for the Teaching Laboratory Manager will help in the management of laboratory courses in BioSciences. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in biological sciences and prior experience in a laboratory classroom, either as a lab assistant or a student research or teaching assistant.
Workplace Requirements : This is an in-person position at Rice University in Houston, Texas. The Teaching Laboratory Manager will also be required to assist with driving a full-size rental passenger van to/from campus on course field trip days.
Proposed Hiring Range: $48,000 - $52,900 annually, contingent upon qualifications and experience.
