Job Description:

Who We Are:


The Kinesioception Section develops automated perception and learning solutions for commercial and government clients in multiple domains including human performance, artificial intelligence, computer vision, machine learning, robotics, and cognitive performance.


Objectives of this Role:


  • Identify and pursue new research directions for current and emerging technologies in machine learning and human performance optimization.

  • Join project teams to research new autonomy related objectives for SwRI clients.

  • Find new applications, industries, and clients for novel automation capabilities.

  • Capture new research projects with new and existing clients.


Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:


  • Apply state of the art machine learning software solutions for various intelligent system applications.

  • Interact with team members to discuss technical solutions to problems.

  • Develop tools and techniques to improve our team's research and development capability.

  • Interact with clients to discuss and propose technical solutions to unique problems.


Requirements:


  • Requires a Bachelors or a Masters degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or directly related with related academic or industry experience.

  • 0-5 years: BS candidates must have relevant academic research and/or internship experience. MS ad PhD candidates must have completed graduate work related to human performance, machine learning, computer vision, and data science/analysis.

  • Must have training in perception (computer vision/image processing), software solutions for various intelligent systems applications, and convolutional neural networks (CNN).

  • Must have C++ and Python.

  • A valid/clear driver's license is required.



Special Requirements:


Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen.
