We are currently seeking a well-qualified candidate for the position of Business Development Manager (BDM) as a remote position, located in the Eastern or Central US time zones. As the BDM, you will be accountable for AIPC's diversification and New Product pipeline for Mil-Aero and Industrial customers. To accomplish this, the BDM must develop and implement a strategic plan identifying target markets and customers and understand the competitive landscape in these markets/customers. The BDM will prospect for new customers within identified markets and collaborate with the Sales team to execute capture of new business. They will be involved in the strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting process. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: SALES & MARKETING Possess a strong understanding of the target markets, including industry, company, project, company contacts and which market strategies can be used to attract customers Maintain relationships with current customers and pursue additional opportunities based on the initial success of AIPC's technical solution, prototyping and operational performance. The BDM owns the global customer relationship as well as direct and indirect communication. Develop competitive analyses and pricing strategies to win majority market share across the industry Qualify opportunities and evaluate for strategic fit Create customer proposals for the AIPC solution utilizing an understanding of the value cost structure of the solution to the customer and the competitive landscape Accountable for successful execution of all stages of the NBO process - collaborating closely with Sales, Engineering, and Operations to ensure customer expectations are met Provide direction to Sales on specific markets and/or product launches; support Sales calls with relevant presentation material, technical and/or commercial data Direct cross-functional meetings with Customers, Sales, Operations, and Engineering Identify product gaps related to customer opportunities and communicate these back through the engineering team for development Negotiate quarterly, semi-annual, and annual contracts with customers Provide monthly/quarterly/annual sales forecasting for company reporting and operations planning Develop annual strategy and budget expectations QUALIFICATIONS BS Degree in Engineering or Marketing 5+ years' relevant experience with working knowledge of Sales and Marketing in Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing Experience in Military Prime contracting including development of bids based on project SOWs, development of integrated master schedules, project milestone management and contract fulfillment preferred. Existing relationships with Military Prime contractors across multiple sectors preferred. Ability to thrive in a fast paced, high growth industry; willing to be hands-on and take initiative Solid presentation, interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to interact well with customers Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and cross-cultural teams at various locations Ability to think strategically and develop marketing/sales strategies utilizing various sources of information. Ability to listen to customers and develop rapport and trust of customers throughout the sales process Strong technical skills to assist in understanding the technological challenge of target customers and to be able to identify relevant technology trends in key markets Travel is required, both domestic and international SKILLS Results-driven mindset Excellent organizational skills, with emphasis on priorities and goal setting Comfort working with multiple levels of the organization and with all functional groups Strong interpersonal skills. Instinctively collaborative and team-oriented. Proficient in MS Office Suite and aptitude for learning specialized software programs Amphenol offers a competitive salary and benefits.
