Position Purpose:



Responsible for running daily picks, prepares boxes for shipping, completes trace and loads trucks. Ships parts to internal customers using a forklift.


Hourly Pay Range: $18.00 - $21.00



Essential Functions:



• Maintain Environmental, Health and Safety standards in the workplace


• Operates forklift and all other material handling equipment assigned to the department


• Runs daily picks and coordinates with supervision and customer service to insure on time delivery to the customer


• Repacks bands and labels boxes as necessary as per customer requirements


• Completes trace for all products being shipped to external and internal customers


• Loads and unloads trucks as needed


• Works well with supervision and co-workers


• Works in a safe manor at all times


• Keep work area clean at all times



Education and Training



High School Diploma


Forklift operator experience



Minimum Qualifications



• Certified to drive a forklift and other material handling equipment as needed.


• Good verbal and written communication skills.


• Basic math skills


• Ability to work well with others


• Basic computer skills



Physical Demands



• Ability to drive a forklift continuously for 8-12 hours


• Ability to work in tight places


• Ability to work outdoors for an extended period of time in extreme weather conditions


• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds repetitively


• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally


• Ability to twist, bend and lift repetitively


• Ability to stand, crouch and climb, use ladders and perform various types of manual labor


• Good eye/hand coordination and good motor skills


• Visual (with correction) sufficient to read work orders and packing slips. and the ability to record the information either manually or in a computer


• Demonstrates dependability and adherence to all safety rules and regulations



Environmental Conditions



• Exposure to a noisy work environment


• Exposure to hot and humid conditions


• Exposure to coolants, oils, grease and water


• Ear and Eye protection required at all times in all production areas


• Steel toe boots with integrated metatarsal guards required in production area
