The preferred working location for this role is the Medtronic facility located in Mounds View, Minnesota; however, the individual may also work remotely within the US or onsite at another US-based Medtronic facility.

As a member of the Product Connectivity Solutions team, you will help develop platforms that enable medical device connectivity. You will work closely with IT and Business teams to ensure timely delivery of software components, build reusable software solutions that scale globally, and lead technical efforts to expand the capabilities of our platforms.

A DAY IN THE LIFE
• Deliver high quality cloud software.
• Interface with internal and business stakeholders.
• Build reusable components and work across the team to implement technical strategies.
• Drive optimization and supportability of a highly critical system.
• Participate in project estimation and scoping.
• Lead technical design and architecture discussions.
• Responsible for evaluating and designing, developing or modifying programs for internal functional areas including finance, human resources, and marketing.
• Analyze existing programs and/or formulate logic for new systems.
• Develop system design documentation (including GUI design, if required), perform coding, and test/debug programs.
• Create ad hoc or bolt-on programs for integrations or functional business teams as needed.
• Develop conversion and system implementation plans.
• Prepare and obtain approval of system and programming documentation.
• Recommend changes in development, maintenance, and system standards.
• Train users in system enhancements and modifications.
• Provide patch and software upgrades to existing systems as required.
• Correct program errors, prepare operating instructions, compile documentation for program support.
• Analyze system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition,
programming techniques, and controls.
• Works closely with functional users to enhance and maintain programs.

MUST HAVE (Minimum Qualifications)

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and 12+ years of experience

OR

• Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience or advanced degree and 5+ years of experience

NICE TO HAVE (Preferred Qualifications)

• Strongly Preferred:

o Previous Medtronic experience.

o Experience working on Agile software projects.

o Experience interfacing and leading discussions with internal and external stakeholders.

o Strong program software development and architecture skills.

o Mastery of backend development using Node.js, TypeScript and AWS native services.

• Experience working on mission critical and highly scalable cloud systems.

• Experience working in a regulated environment.

The provided base salary range is used nationally (except in certain CA locations). The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience, certification/education, market conditions, location, etc.
