Desktop Support Technician at Best Buy

Job Description:

Desktop Support Technician
As the Desktop Support Technician you will to provide onsite and remote technical support for all internal customers (Best Buy Health employees) as it relates to their computing environment, including devices, services, and software. This individual will be responsible for tracking all issues through our ticketing system and following Service Level Agreements (SLA’s). The ability to listen to the employee’s needs, resolve expressed concerns, and improve the quality of the internal customer’s computing environment is the key to success in this position.

This role is hybrid, which means you must be located within a drivable distance to our Best Buy Health office in Novi, MI. You might be asked to come into the office up to 3 days per week.

What you’ll do


  • Respond to incoming tickets requesting assistance as it relates to the internal customers computing environment.

  • Troubleshoot and provide support via phone, email and in person.

  • Document processes and solutions in our Help Desk Knowledge base

  • Provide on-call support 24/7 on a rotating basis.


Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a desktop network support environment required.

  • High school diploma or GED required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Windows 10, Windows 11, and Office 365

  • Software installation and network troubleshooting

  • Knowledge of Citrix virtual machines or similar

  • A+ Certification

  • Associate degree preferred.
