We are seeking a full-time Senior Manager Communications Workflow in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for providing leadership to multiple communication service organizations establishing, implementing, and maintaining workflow processes for all Communications projects as well as focusing on continued process improvement, maintaining cutting edge industry standards.
Essential Functions
Build and encourage a talented team of detail-oriented professionals to ensure workflow
Ensure appropriate financial forecast for department throughout the year while also aligning the group's monthly expenses/accruals
Capacity to stay up on industry trends and maintain communications
Use financial acumen to improve accuracy and timeliness of all budgets
Ensure teams are communicating effectively regarding project status and risk
Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure schedules are met
Work with global offices to ensure workflow is smooth and efficient
Ability to lead and mentor while presenting new and exciting challenges
Conduct annual performance evaluations
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, English or Mass Communications
Must possess a minimum of 10 years of Communications Management which may include a combination of communications, advertising production or production, or leading communication projects
Must possess a minimum of 5 years management experience with a demonstrated track record in effectively managing teams
Excellent presentation and written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to communicate with people at various organizational levels
Proficiency with developing Project Management systems and training associates on how to use these tools
Experience with setting budgets, reconciling costs, reporting on budget status
Demonstrated proficiency in Project Management best practices
Demonstrates proficient knowledge of digital, print production, social media, video production processes
Must be a motivator, strategic thinker, team-oriented, well-spoken and collaborate well with other corporate leaders
Must be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive and professional attitude
Desired Qualifications
Understanding of Garmin's business segments, including navigation, consumer electronics, wireless, fitness, and/or automotive electronics
