Job Description:

A Video & Livestream Producer is needed to oversee, manage, and produce video content within the livestream studio at the Dayton Gaviidae YMCA.

We are building out a custom, on-demand library of Virtual Y content and creating a "Netflix for the Y" experience. We are growing our content production via livestreams and on-demand content and are looking for someone passionate about video production to help us elevate the quality of our livestreams & on-demand video series.
You will be the manager and production lead for our state-of-the-art video studio at the Dayton Gaviidae YMCA. You'll supervise the day-to-day production needs while innovating on our video content. You'll work with a video producer, editor, and AVP of Digital Marketing & Platforms to create an annual content strategy to grow and optimize the Virtual Y platform.

In addition, the ideal candidate will be able to edit videos and video series, analyze performance data, collaborate with pertinent stakeholders; and see a project through while staying within budget and schedule.
You will help shepherd the livestreams & on-demand video series and work on developing new concepts with our team.
In addition, the candidate will operate as a video editor, an expert in assembling recorded footage into a finished project that matches the original vision and is suitable for Virtual Y, social media, television, and all of our digital platforms.
Ultimately, as a Video Producer, you should be able to bring sight and sound together to tell a cohesive story. A Video Producer is responsible for every aspect of content creation from pre- to post-production.

1. Job Summary:
The Video Producer is responsible to develop, maintain and distribute the YMCA of the North's video content library. The incumbent will analyze performance data, serve as a writer and copy editor, give notes on video edits and manage a project while staying within budget and schedule. The Video Producer will be involved in the creative and day-to-day production of Y North content, working with a team of contractors and team members. The incumbent is also a video editor, assemble recorded footage into a finished project that meets the vision and is suitable for Virtual Y, social media, television, and all of our digital platforms.

Essential Functions:

Maintain Gaviidae and Southdale studios, including general fixes and upkeep, debugging software, IT repairs and servicing equipment.
Maintain, grow, and champion the YMCA of the North Digital Video Channels-namely Virtual Y.
Shoot video, set up studios, and manage video projects from concept through production to final delivery.
Track projects and maintain production calendars.
Produce 350 videos a month for Virtual Y.
Moderate graphic design work using Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.
Motion Graphic creation in Adobe After Effects, Blender, etc.
Build web pages within Drupal and the backend of our website.
Develop best practices for SEO, Keyword research, and metadata on all published videos.
Write descriptions based on video content for YouTube, Vimeo, and the Y North website.
Direct Group Ex instructors, wellbeing practitioners, and YMCA staff to guide them through a video shoot.
Partner with operations and executives to produce video content for members, marketing, and internal use.
Headshot photography for YMCA Instructors, YMCA branches, camps, and facilities.
Collaborate in existing content as well as new content development.
Publishing the video to Digital Marketing Channels and OTT Platforms.
Split or combine video clips.
Add appropriate sounds or graphics.
Watch finished product to catch mistakes before submitting it for review.

Relationships:

This position reports to the Associate Vice President of Digital Marketing & Platforms who reports to the VP of Marketing. This role interacts regularly with instructors, program leaders and staff at all levels of the organization, including marketing and fitness teams. Work direction may also come from leaders in Marketing and Fitness.

Qualifications:

Required

Bachelor's degree in Film/Video Production, Communications, Journalism, Television Production, Media Arts or related area. Experience as a video editor, camera operator, or other production roles may be considered in lieu of degree.
Two (2) years of experience producing video content in a collaborative environment, including organizing, managing and scheduling production crews and planning and executing client projects within budget.
Experience managing projects from conception to completion.
Proficient in video editing software (like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro), understand camera operation, sound equipment, and other production gear.
Knowledge of post-production processes, including color grading and audio mixing, is also important. Operating video production equipment; including Sony Mirrorless Cameras, Black Magic Cinema Cameras. Operating a computer and various complex postproduction applications; including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Media Encoder, Blender, or comparable programs.
Experience with audio systems and tools: small format mixers, compression, EQ, effects processors, audio recording techniques for studio and field, multi-track and waveform editing.
Ability to operate livestreaming software and equipment, including Livestream Studio 6, sound mixers, and online platforms like Vimeo.
Ability to story tell, an eye for visual composition, and the ability to conceptualize ideas.
Effectively communicate with team members, clients, and stakeholders. Ability to articulate vision and collaborate with others.
Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage schedules, budgets, and logistics for video projects.
Ability to quickly address and resolve issues that arise during production.
Must be adaptable and flexible to new technologies, changing project requirements, and working under tight deadlines.
Stay current with the latest trends in video production, social media, and digital marketing.

Work Conditions:

Must be able to work on a computer for extended periods of time.
Must be able to travel to Virtual Studios to repair issues that may arise.
Must be on-call to solve issues via phone call or text with on-site instructors, and/or must be able to travel to solve issues promptly to get studios back to working order.
