Job Description:

Primary Duties & Responsibilities


  • Track and process the payments for both the Education Reimbursement Program and the Employee Referral Program.
  • Manage the local anniversary award and retirement recognition programs. Pull quarterly reports recognizing milestone anniversaries. Purchase gift for retirees who meet local eligibility requirements.
  • Maintains accurate personnel and I9' files. Move e-files and I9's to termed folders as appropriate. Conduct regular audits for accuracy. Scan and file additional documents received.
  • Ensure compliance posters are current and are posted on appropriate bulletin boards within facility.
  • Schedule physicals and confirm results for applicants who received an offer for positions that have an EHS requirement based on the materials being handled and the work being performed.
  • Answer employee questions, track, provide updates, and general management of FMLA, Disability, Workers Compensation, and other leave programs.
  • Order all office supplies. Handle maintenance and upkeep of office equipment.
  • Provide employee support, guidance, and education to employees in various HR areas including benefits, Kronos, SharePoint, Employment Verifications, Attendance Policy, and other general polices.
  • Manage the Journeys on- and off-boarding processes. This position is also responsible for conducting on-site orientation for all new hires.
  • Responsible for the data entry of new hires and other changes in Kronos. Pull Kronos onsite report for fire drills. Verify attendance points are tracked accurately in Kronos when working with Managers/Supervisors.
  • Responsible for data accuracy and process integrity for Employee Connect. Enter changes in the system and conduct regular audits of data. Pull routine reports as needed.
  • Maintain Galaxy badging system including adding/changing door access for current employees, creating badges for new hires, and terming badge access for employees who have separated.


Education & Experience


  • Associate degree in Human Resource Management or related field required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience with SAP/Oracle and ADP/Kronos or similar systems preferred.
  • 1-2 years of progressive experience in HR.


Skills


  • Knowledge of HRIS and payroll systems and processes preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft products including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Ability to operate general office equipment (scanning, fax, copier).
  • Excellent organization skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Strong interpersonal, teaming, and problem-solving skills.
  • People oriented with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.


Working Conditions

  • Office environment within manufacturing plant, involving working with small to large equipment and exposure to low level microwave energy and other hazardous chemicals.

Physical Requirements


  • Extended periods of sitting or standing.
  • Able to perform physical tasks in various positions: standing, crouching, kneeling, reaching.
