Position Purpose:

We are seeking a Refrigeration Technician for two Locations to perform PSM / RMP inspections of Several Industrial Ammonia Refrigeration Systems, and to ensure the Documentation on Inspections are in compliance with IIAR, ASHRE, ASME, EPA, OSHA, and applicable State and Local Codes.

Essential Functions & Basic Duties:

Able to perform all Inspections outlined in the PSM (Process Safety Management) and log all the Documentation on to the sites Data Base. Inspections include;

1. Daily, Monthly, Semi Annually, Annually
2. Calibration of Ammonia Detection and Temperature Controls
3. Valve Exercising and Proper Operation
4. Compressor Calibrations and Inspections
5. Cleaning of Evaporator Coils and Condensers
6. PSM Meetings, Safety Drills, and Yearly Certifications

Qualifications:

Must have experience in conducting Refrigeration Inspections, Calibrations, and PLC Programs to maintain the PSM / RMP Documentation that is mandated by the Local CUPA of Yolo County and the Federal EPA.

Education/Certification:

• Associate 4 year in HVACR or equivalent work experience,
• Refrigeration/Electrical, Trade School Certification, or Equivalent,
• RETA Certification.

Experience:

• Experience Minimum needed: 4 years in Ammonia Refrigeration/Electrical.
• PSM/RMP Knowledge: Minimum 4 years.
• PSM Documentation 4 years.

Knowledge:

• Experience Minimum needed: 4 years in Ammonia Refrigeration/Electrical.
• Specialized Knowledge Needed for Performance of Job: Ammonia Refrigeration.
• HAZMAT knowledge.
• Good Housekeeping Practices.
• Good Organization Skills

Skills/Abilities:

• Computer Skills
• Scissor Lift Certification
• Forklift Certification
• Able to read Drawings / Plans
