Effectively lead and manage all safety and production efforts at a 750K ton/year stone quarry.
Requirements
Responsible for site planning, pit development, quality control, and maintenance functions.
Additional duties include asset protection, financial evaluation, budgeting and cost control, environmental, personnel and community relations duties.
Ensure compliance with company mandated safety and environmental policies, programs and guidelines as well as regulatory compliance.
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
Minimum 10 years' of experience at a aggregate or mining operation required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Working knowledge and understanding of MSHA regulations and possess a strong personal commitment to safety
Solid understanding of aggregate processing and equipment
Solid understanding of maintenance practices of both fixed and mobile equipment
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and the ability of developing and maintaining good relationships with company and regulatory agency personnel
Strong leadership skills and possess the ability to lead, manage and motivate and have a proven track record for creating employee ownership of safety, production and quality
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience in JD Edwards, auto cad, plant automation systems a plus
