Vertiv has a transformational opportunity for an Electrical Engineer in Anderson, SC who will be responsible for supporting the setup, release and process for new part numbers and changes to bills of materials. The individual in this role will work with procurement on vendor setup and certification as well as engineering buyer within the line of business. The Electrical Engineer will report into the switchgear line of business supporting globally for the Company. Helps provide support and expertise in business solutions for manufacturing through the most effective use of Vertiv Digital Assets and other technology by working with the organization's business stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the operation providing a complete and full Engineering definition for manufacturing.
Create and track Engineering Change Order and Engineering Change Notification through systems and process to ensure timely completion.
Work with procurement and engineering buyer for new SKU setup and Bill of Material (BOM inputs.
Train order engineering on SKU requests and Bill of Material (BOM) changes.
Write specs, manage project execution, and create new products according to the strategy and change management required.
This position will support applications such as Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning, Oracle Engagement Cloud, Oracle Field Services, Oracle Product Development Cloud, etc.
Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in the development of engineering architecture framework development, and design and methodology development.
QUALIFICATIONS
1-3 years of manufacturing or engineering experience
Bachelor's degree in an engineering related field
Excellent communications skills - written & verbal.
Exceptional consultative approach, understanding customer needs, documenting requirements, solutioning to meet requirements, consulting to determine customer fit to solution, developing, and delivering solution in accordance with customer expectations.
3D modeling / 2D drafting. SolidWorks is a plus.
Ability to facilitate positive and effective cross-functional relationships across the lines of business.
Computer skills - proficiency in Microsoft-Office suite.
