Job Description:

Responsible for performing a wide range of Human Resources functions; including but not limited to FMLA,  Leaves of Absences, clerical administration, assigned recruiting functions, and employee engagement event planning.  Assists in maintaining the human resource database and all employee records and files.  Completes assigned reporting functions involving attendance statistics, termination, hire and transfer data, and other information assigned.  Ensures that Credit Union records and reporting comply with federal and state regulations.  Assists in informing new employees and ensuring that Credit Union personnel are well informed of Human Resources policies and programs.  Conducts new hire orientation for incoming employees.  Performs general office support functions and assists area personnel as necessary.  Other administrative duties as assigned.  Duties, responsibilities and activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.  This position has the potential for remote work based on management discretion.

Education/Certification


  • High school graduate or equivalent.

  • Additional related training preferred.

Required Knowledge        


  • Basic understanding of Human Resource functions and knowledge of Human Resource laws and regulations.

  • Knowledge of all related computer applications.

  • Understanding of Human Resource department reporting and recordkeeping requirements.

  • Understanding of compensation and benefits policies and programs.

  • Knowledge of products and services offered by Credit Union.

Experience Required         


  • At least one year of related experience.

  • Abilities generally acquired on the job.  Includes formal and on-the-job training.

  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and public relations abilities.

  • Able to operate telephone, PC, copier, and other basic business machines.
