RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Associates to perform all safety checks at the start of their shift on all cranes and tools and document this as necessary.  Continue to perform safety checks throughout the shift.  ·        

  • Ability to set up and operate machine and equipment in accordance with all operating procedures and SES’s   including any or all of:

    • Seam Welder, Plasma Cutter, Hydro form and Bumper, Flanger and Polisher



  • Inspect all raw materials for compliance with specifications and documentation. Inspect product during and after manufacturing process to ensure it meets all customer specifications and code requirements and document all critical measurements.        

  • Ability to acquire skill and perform MIG and TIG welding to company standards.

  • Complete written data for partial heads and request QC inspections.

  • Properly clean and create heads for shipment to protect finishes.

  • Proper use of shear, overhead cranes, fork truck, had tools and other equipment.

  • Fills out proper documentation for all projects.

  • Operation of cranes, hoists, and forklifts as needed.  Also successfully complete any training, safety program relating to the operation of the equipment.

  • Performs other duties as required.

  • Performs housekeeping and other related duties that are assigned. Washing of finished and unfinished goods, is a primary responsibility for this role.

REQUIRED SKILLS, ABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:          


  • Above average mechanical aptitude and math skills, with emphasis on fractions and decimals.

  • Ability to read and use tape measure, caliper, and other measurement equipment

  • Ability to follow instructions and direction.

  • Reading and writing literacy required.

  • Ability to meet predefined deadlines while withstanding related pressure and stress.

EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE:


  • Pneumatic tools, as provided by the company.

  • Hand tools required for completion of job tasks.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:


  • Ability to work will in a fast paced environment to meet team expectations.

  • Understanding and support of Company policies and procedures. 

  • Ability to understand and abide by all safety rules and regulations to perform the job and set by the company.

  • Must have a basic understanding of computers.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.

  • Communicate with others in a team effort and train other employees.

  • Be thorough and attentive to detail in all job tasks and be proactive toward continuous improvement and quality workmanship in each product manufactured.

  • Ability to meet predefined deadlines while withstanding related pressure and stress.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


  • Good manual dexterity, good eye/hand coordination.

  • Close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus, required.

  • Capable of wearing PPE for an entire shift, including; safety glasses, hearing protection and safety shoes.

  • Frequent light lifting, raising objects under 15 pounds from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from one position to another.

  • Frequent moderate lifting of objects 15 to 45 pounds.  

Work experience in related industry is an asset but even if you do not have this, we still want you to apply. On the job training will be provided.
