We are seeking a full-time Aviation Associate Sales Manager 1 in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting Aviation department Vice President, Directors, and Sales Managers in daily activities required to increase revenues and market share through the sale and support of Garmin Avionics products and services.
Essential Functions
Interact daily with various internal and external stakeholders, as well as being an alternate point of contact for many of our partners
Build and present product presentations demonstrating basic knowledge of Garmin products while at ease presenting in front of customers
Be the recognized "Point Person" for major trade shows owning the coordination and preparation for those designated shows; also assists the sales team in preparing for smaller regional shows
Cultivate successful internal and external customer relationships that focus on mutual benefit, maximizing the partnership potential, and driving to consistently meet and exceed customer expectations
Participate in trade shows to demonstrate products and articulate competitive benefits of Garmin products and systems and occasionally visit Garmin customers and partners with Sales Managers
Identify opportunities for expanding our product line to serve customer needs and contribute customer, market, and product knowledge to internal cross-functional teams
Remain current regarding changes in policies, procedures and product offerings and continually expand personal technical, system and competitive product knowledge
Support Sales Managers and Directors by producing monthly and quarterly sales reports, rebate programs, and shipset tracking
Assist with special projects and Project Management as assigned
Able to travel, coordinate, and represent Garmin at industry and professional meetings, trade shows and conferences and complete timely and succinct trip and status reports as well as support onsite meetings with customers and industry partners
Aftermarket Industry Functions
Become the recognized alternate Garmin point of contact for Dealer partners, initiate follow-up and be a customer advocate for them within our organization
Support Sales Managers and Directors with development and execution of marketing memos, presentations, business and trade-show/event planning with periodic oversight from management or the team
Assist with the development and execution of marketing, advertising and promotional activities
Assist in developing, then managing dealer incentives and programs
Work with all necessary departments on new product introduction, including pricing and marketing efforts, and monitor that special requirements for the aviation group are implemented/adhered to
Assist in developing well-organized and impactful webinar schedule, as well as managing content for webinars
Assist with the timely management and facilitation of accurate and engaging responses for the Aviation Sales email inbox with periodic oversight
Support the Director, Manager with updating the monthly, quarterly and annual Aftermarket forecast with regular oversight, and provide reports highlighting the changes of forecast data compared to previous revisions
Facilitate regular changes to the Price List and Marketing Program booklet
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree OR a minimum of 4 years relevant field experience
Minimum of 1 year of Garmin experience or sales experience
Private Pilot, aviation technical background, or proficiently demonstrate the ability sell the added benefits of Garmin aviation products to customers
Proven track record in meeting/exceeding sales targets/goals
Create and deliver sales presentations to prospects and existing accounts including large groups
Demonstrate at least some limited knowledge of the aviation industry and Garmin aviation products
Must be positive, detail and quality oriented, organized, analytical, team oriented and a driven problem solver, multi-tasker, and self-starter with the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced and challenging environment
Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Must be a highly motivated sales professional who demonstrates a customer service focus with proven experience in relationship building and providing quality customer service experiences with a passion and enthusiasm for customer satisfaction
Emphasis and expertise using Microsoft Office, specifically Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
Flexibility to travel (25% of time or greater)
