Wood is currently recruiting for a Process Controls Engineer with 20+ years of experience in the chemical manufacturing industry. As the Process Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for day to day process controls support and capital project support in an active chemical manufacturing plant.

Perform process controls Engineering
Support and optimize new and existing equipment and systems within the facility
DCS Hardware, Software, Programming and Communications
PLC Hardware, Software, Programming and Communications
Hardwired controls
Implement established procedures to ensure compliance to Quality and HSSE requirements
Develop the high-level strategy for the day to day process control of unit operations
Co-ordinate with operations and with other stake holders to understand and prioritize the process control needs of the operating units.
Prepare process data supporting changes and documenting existing process control systems in the plant.
Perform engineering calculations as needed.
Support the installation, operation, and maintenance of the site's DCS hardware and software.
Configure and reconfigure the sites DCS systems as needed.
Document design decisions as data sheets and other documents.
Support New Capital Projects
Understand and implement controls as specified in P&IDs and Process Letters
Work closely with plant engineers, contractors, and team members to achieve project success.
Understand equipment Vendor controls interfaces and strategies
Integrate new equipment with existing systems to operate safely and efficiently
QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
Chemical Manufacturing or Related Industry Experience Desired
20+ Years Process controls engineering for chemical manufacturing facilities.
