Job Description:

Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation, review, revision, and maintenance of technical documents including, but not limited to unit manuals, test documents, standard operating procedures, etc.

Responsibilities


  • Understands basic concepts, responsible for writing technical copy for various types of documents for a project of similar complexity.

  • Prepare and maintain operations documentation, user manuals, and technical publications.

  • Prepare reports, responses, and briefings targeted to a wide range of audiences.

  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and requires multitasking of projects.

  • Works with developers to produce quality documentation and training materials.

  • Must take direction well and be able to work well in a group environment as well as on their own.

  • Coordinates layout and design of documents

  • Will have interaction with clients and expected to perform in a professional manner and present a professional image at all times.

  • Some travel may be required.

  • Some experience in a Technical Writing program of similar scope, type, and complexity required.

  • Assist in the creation and improvement of company products.

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Strong project and multi-tasking skills.


Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

  • Ability to occasional climb ladders and crawl underneath trailers

  • Work in air-conditioned office, outside and workshop.

  • Will be required on occasion to work more than 8 hours on one shift.

  • Requires occasional bending, stooping, lifting, and carrying.

  • Reaching or handling with arms, hands, and fingers.

  • Manual dexterity sufficient to work with fingers (i.e. frequent typing)

  • Normal vision with or without corrective lenses.
