Overview

UE Manufacturing is Now Hiring an Assembler Lead 2nd Shift located at 10000 NW 2 nd , Oklahoma City, OK 73127. Oversee and coordinate the activities of assembly or fabrication of mechanical parts for oilfield pumping equipment in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities


  • Assembly process may include fitting, mounting, alignment, adjusting, and operational testing and other duties.

  • Promotes and contributes safety awareness.

  • Promotes and takes an active part in quality and continuous improvement processes.

  • Performs preventive maintenance, inspects production equipment, and performs minor repairs.

  • Employees must be able to read blueprints, and drawings as well as be knowledgeable in the use of precision measuring instruments. Tasks include performing manufacturing math calculations, and use of specialized lifting equipment. Assigns work to team.

  • Responsible for inspecting, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a variety of mechanical equipment.

  • Responsible for understanding safe equipment operation for the purpose of testing and adjusting after repairs and/or during inspection/diagnosis.

  • Employees are expected to have good written and verbal communication skills, as well as be competent in the use of computers.

  • Tasks include performing manufacturing math calculations, and use of specialized lifting equipment.

  • Working knowledge of equipment capabilities and limitations

  • Troubleshoots scenarios to determine the safest and most efficient way to repair a piece of equipment.

  • Ensure the organization and cleanliness of workstations.

  • Maintain a strong, personal commitment to the safety culture.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to utilize hand and power tools required.

  • Ability to manage time sensitive projects is required.

  • Ability to respond to technical questions from production staff required.

  • Ability to utilize hand and power tools and skills to determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to complete a job is required.


Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma/general education degree (GED) or equivalent. combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to work without supervision.

  • One year experience in assembly or manufacturing environment, similar to UEM is required.

  • A minimum of 1 (one) year of experience leading and coordinating production projects is preferred.


Physical Activities & Requirements:

  • Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs. Able to lift 65 lbs. from floor to shoulder level occasionally.

  • Ability to frequently exert the pound force limits for push/pull 50lb f (no wheels) or 100lb f (wheels).

  • Requires frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, balancing, lifting, carrying, and reaching or handling with arms, hands and fingers.

  • Requires crawling and working in narrow spaces.

  • Requires frequent repetitive movements, i.e. hammering, turning wrenches, screwdrivers and impact tools.

  • Manual dexterity sufficient to work with fingers.

  • Normal vision with or without corrective lenses.

  • Exposed to cold, heat, noise mechanical/electrical fume or odor.

  • Will be required on occasion to work more than 8 hours on one shift.

  • Will be required to work at a minimum height of four feet off of the ground.

  • Ability to operate overhead cranes, mobile equipment and motor vehicles as required.
