Digital Commerce (DCom) is set to represent 35%+ of all CPG sales in the not-too-distant future. Mars Wrigley has an ambition to more than double its DCom sales over the coming years. Perfect Product Detail Pages that fuel the algorithm, tell the brand story, and drive clicks and conversion are a key component of driving this growth. As the Digital Merchandiser Team Lead, you will lead a team of 7 Digital Merchandisers to create and execute content and strategies that will live across 40+ retailer's product detail pages. Some of your key responsibilities will be developing A+ content, driving syndicated ratings and reviews, managing key agency partnerships and identifying new ones, leading test and learns, and fostering and developing top talent. You will be a key driver of the Perfect Digital Store Program and will work in close partnership with Account teams, Brand Marketing, Omnichannel Marketing Group, Category, the Hive and Global.

What are we looking for?


  • University Degree

  • MBA Preferred

  • 5-7 years of experience in FMCG/CPG, with specialization in digital commerce & content.

  • Preferred Prior Line Manager Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in a digital commerce (e.g., content management, planning, optimization, etc.).

  • Experience with online content strategy, creation, management, SEO, and digital shelf optimization

  • Customer facing experience and extensive knowledge of Amazon, Online Demand Delivery Customers, and top Omnichannel retailers such as Walmart, Sam's Club, Target and Kroger

  • Knowledge of and experience with various digital marketing technologies, web platforms and usergenerated content tools to deliver an exceptional online consumer experience (i.e. Salsify, Syndigo, Brandbank, BazaarVoice, etc)

  • Experience working in cross-functional teams and managing multiple timelines, workflows, and stakeholders from project start to finish.

  • Experience building out strategy, processes, playbooks, and tools to support execution.

  • Experience working in a large, matrixed organization with complex stakeholder groups.

  • Experience leading communities of learning and sharing.


What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Lead 7 Person Digital Merchandiser Team to deliver best in class merchandising solutions across 40+ omnichannel, pure play and ODD retailers. Build best in class Digital Merchandising team culture and position team as a desired team to be on within the MW organization.

  • Define long term vision for digital merchandising, and devise strategies to build and develop capabilities in the short term

  • Turbocharge digital Test and Learns in content creation, syndication, AI, 3D Images, Mobile Hero Image, content effectiveness, etc. in partnership with other key stakeholders (Marketing, Hive, Sales, etc)

  • Lead content planning and approvals for total Mars Wrigley portfolio (everyday, seasonal, innovation, packaging changes, etc) and partner with brands, customer teams, and the Hive to create best in class images for retailer websites and align planning timelines.

  • Develop comprehensive cross-retailer plan and execute flawlessly to drive five-star ratings and reviews, leveraging syndicated or retailer-specific tools to increase reviews effectively and efficiently.

  • Key member and thought partner of DCOM Strategy Planning & Capabilities Leadership Team

  • Partner with Perfect Digital Store lead to drive action vs. PDS program, usage of tools, accuracy of data, and evolution of program and partner with ODDA to continue enhance analytics

  • Lead & partner on various agency & vendor partners such as Salsify, BazaarVoice and Syndigo and identify new agency partners to fuel test & learns

  • Maintain an active awareness of industry trends, competitor content, and best practices to evolve MW merchandising strategy to ensure we are at the forefront or fast followers of content and digital merchandising.

  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders (i.e., Social, Omnichannel Marketing Group, Brand, Hive, and Global) to foster the sharing and leveraging of digital assets to support comprehensive, omni-channel, 360 degree campaigns.
