This is a remote position. Applicant does not need to be based in Northfield, IL
Develop, standardize, and maintain product offerings for Managed Care Health Plan business. Build product formularies that are compliant with Health Plan guidelines and demonstrate profitability for Medline.
Responsibilities
In support of the Program Manager, facilitate the end-to-end OTC formulary development process from concept to customer roll out including category, product and pricing
Lead the partnership between Sales Office, Product Divisions, and Inventory Management by working cross-functionally ensuring optimal vendor selection, product mix and specifications
Identify opportunities for standardization across all Health Plans customers. Provide recommendations for program and product optimization.
Support catalog creation process in partnership with Marketing. Support Program Manager in new customer roll-out activities
Collaborate with Sales, IS and Finance to develop, create and maintain reporting requirements and ensure systems provide accurate and timely data
Stay up to date with CMS regulations for OTC products and communicate any changes with the appropriate cross functions, specifically Product Divisions and Regulatory/Compliance
Ensure product formularies are compliant with Health Plan guidelines and are profitable for Medline
Perform formulary review on a quarterly basis to confirm formulary position of products on contract
Collaborate with team members across multiple departments to facilitate the exchange of information, address needs, and clarify requirements with internal and external customers
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Mathematics, Applied Statistics or other applicable majors
Experience
At least 2 years of sales or product analysis experience
Experience working in Microsoft Excel (for example: working with large data sets, pivot tables and other intermediate functions)
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally across departments and various levels in the organization
Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting Health Plan OTC programs
Project management skills - adhere to timelines and gain alignment across stakeholders
Basic analytical skills, calculating margins and profitability
Knowledge of managed care contracts and healthcare finance
