Job Summary
The Sr Production Accountant will report directly to the Production Accounting Supervisor. This position will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of monthly accrual analysis, non-op reporting, production reporting requests and projects as well as monthly oil and gas regulatory production duties. Additionally, this role will prepare and/or review daily, monthly production reports along with prior period adjustments related to operated offshore properties. The Sr Production Accountant will collaborate with operations, purchasers, revenue, land, and joint venture (JV) departments during the closing process, demonstrating effective communication across all organizational levels.
The Sr Production Accountant will work in our Houston Corporate office and will work two (2) days a week remote.
Responsibilities
Review daily, monthly reports and first production/sales notification
Set up/create new wells, Delivery Networks (DN's), Measurement Points (MP's), and Allocation Profiles in SAP PRA and other production systems
Reconcile run tickets against purchasers in Pro Count
Assist in processing production reports with the ONRR/BSEE, along with preparation of any prior period Oil and Gas Allocation adjustments
Review non-op updates requiring new well setup and working with Land, Field Data Capture
Process accrual reporting and analyzing field data
SOX compliance reporting and audit assistance to the Supervisor for the GOM areas
Other tasks and projects as assigned by Production Supervisor
Qualifications/ Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other business degrees
Minimum 5 years' experience in production allocation with experience in accounting or operations
Desired Qualifications
Intermediate Excel, Word, PowerPoint knowledge
SAP-PRA and/or ProCount, SQL skills is a plus
Strong understanding of production allocations within ProCount or SAP
Experience in Gulf of Mexico and ONRR/BSEE website familiarity
Ability to learn different or changing software's
Motivated to learn and solve problems individually or in a team environment
Analytical, trouble shooting, and problem-solving skills
Effective time management and organizational skills with the ability to independently set priorities
Ability to manage various roles or assets US or internationally, including coordinating activities and special projects
Adapt in a dynamic fast paced learning environment
