Infosys is hiring for the role of Data Scientist. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a complex business environment, refining user requirements, and analyze data to answer business queries. The selected candidate for this role will be adept in quick starting optimization options to solve business problems using latest technologies in data mining, data visualization, statistical modeling, pattern recognition, and optimization across the chosen industry and functional area WITHIN the guidelines, policies and norms of Infosys Your role will combine a judicious and tactful blend of Hi-Tech domain, Analytical experience, Client interfacing skills, and solution design and business acumen so your insights not only enlighten the clients but also pave the way for launching deeper into future analysis. You will advise clients and internal teams through short burst high-impact engagements on identifying business problem, solving business problem through suitable approaches and techniques pertaining to learning and technology. You will effectively communicate data-derived insights to non-technical audiences appropriately and mentor junior or aspiring consultant/data scientists. You will play a key role in building components of a framework or product while addressing practical business problems. Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.


• At least 7 years of experience in Information Technology.


• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of one of the following locations, or be willing to relocate prior to the start date:
  
  • Austin- TX, New York- NY, Raleigh- NC, Sunnyvale- Ca
  
  


• U.S. citizens and those authorized to work in the U.S. are encouraged to apply.


• At least 10 years of domain consulting/BI/analytics experience in one or more of these areas.


• Digital marketing analytics, Web Analytics, Social Media Analytics, SEO, paid media analytics, Mobile marketing analytics.


• 7+ years of applied experience in exploratory data analysis, devising, deploying and servicing statistical models


• 
  Scala functional programming and understanding of Scala code and debugging, execution abilities for a data pipeline where underlying tech stack is Spark, Scala and Airflow.


• Expert proficiency and hands on experience in A/B Testing
  


• Strong proficiency and hands on experience in Scala for developing data pipelines


• Strong knowledge of Advanced SQL


• Define new business metrics as required and build measurement systems as needed


• Advise clients & internal teams on the right analytical models, analytic platforms and approaches to take in addressing complex, open-ended business problems.


• Good knowledge of visualization tool - Tableau


• Very strong communication skills (Written & Verbal)

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA or MS from prestigious University in area of quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Applied Math, Operations Research, Computer Science, Engineering or Physics


• At least 10 years of domain consulting/BI/analytics experience


• Marketing domain background (Web analytics, click stream data analysis, and other KPI's on marketing campaigns)


• Knowledge of Machine Learning techniques

Estimated annual compensation range for candidates based in CA and NY are as indicated below:
California: $94,000 to $164,500
New York: $94,000 to $164,500
