Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead Sotera Health's efforts to further develop and build its corporate pricing function and initiatives in support of its business units, and new business and strategic initiative. In particular, the person will lead the Pricing Effectiveness Group and report to the SVP, Strategy and Corporate Development.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of pricing and commercial processes, demonstrated successes in improving pricing performance materially at the business and/or corporate level, experience with process development and compliance, knowledge of data management systems and processes associated with pricing and commercial management, and a forward-looking, collaborative mindset to drive continuous improvement and problem solving.

The position will have significant business and corporate visibility, requiring productive collaboration with business unit teams (e.g., commercial, finance) and functional teams (e.g., finance, internal audit, IT).

Essential Functions:


  • Leadership: Provide direction, leadership, and mentorship in the further design, development, build-out and management of Sotera's corporate pricing function.
  • Strategic Initiatives: Lead strategic, corporate level and cross-business unit initiatives associated with price strategy and setting, pricing processes, data management, quote-generation, invoicing and related - intended to improve corporate-wide pricing performance.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor compliance with essential processes and evaluate pricing data to identify opportunities, risks, and requirements for success. Adjust processes and initiatives accordingly.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, collaborators, and others involved in or supporting the pricing and related commercial processes.
  • Reporting: Provide regular reports to executive management on performance, key metrics, improvement opportunities, and key initiatives.
  • Systems and Process Development: Evaluate pricing (and linked) commercial and operational processes, develop improved and new processes intended to support business unit pricing and commercial activities and future growth, and work with IT and businesses to ensure appropriate systems in place.
  • Tools and Templates: Provide input and work with other stakeholders (e.g., sales, legal, finance, IT) to improve tools and materials, including contracts, associated with pricing and related commercial and operational processes.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all stakeholders and activities comply with pricing and related contracting and commercial processes and company guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field required; MBA preferred.
  • 10 years of experience and success in pricing and commercial in a corporate, business and/or consulting role(s), with notable leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of pricing strategies and tactics, processes, systems, compliance and related data management systems and processes.
  • Effective manager of people and initiatives; success in working in cross-function teams and projects.
  • Demonstrated analytical capacity and problem-solving success, working with complex data sources.
  • Extensive experience in business-to-business services setting, ideally in the medical product area.
