The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for all materials management responsibilities in the warehouse, while maintaining a safe and clean warehouse facility. This position ensures all materials management requirements are met including stock replenishment, shipment inspections and receipts, and proper storage, preservation, and issuance of materials for usage. With a service-oriented approach, this role requires collaboration between internal stakeholders and with suppliers and contractors to meet the material management requirements for the business. To perform this job satisfactorily, the Warehouse Technician must be able to perform all essential job duties with minimal supervision; including the physical and administrative tasks involved in inventory replenishment, receiving, storing, preserving and issuing materials.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Lead and direct Warehouse Technicians
Replenish and maintain inventory stock levels in accordance with business demand and re-order points
Unload materials from vendor trucks and conduct inspections to ensure shipments meet Targa’s quality requirements
Verify packing slips and other shipment information to confirm quantities delivered
Process materials receipts for accepted deliveries and returns to vendors for damaged materials or overages
Handle any Over, Shortage and Damage (OS&D) materials that are delivered to the warehouse, including documenting issues, quarantining materials as needed, and dealing with internal stakeholders and suppliers to resolve OS&D’s
Mark materials with correct identifying information and recordkeeping of product documentation
Stock and transfer materials, tools, and equipment to appropriate shelf, bin, rack, or pipe bundle by a predetermined sequence, including bin or grid location, size, type, style, and length
Assemble material reservations (bag & tag) from stock and package items in boxes and pallets as per business requirements
Issue materials for pickup and load onto the appropriate truck or transfer to packing areas using forklifts and/or other material handling equipment
Prepare documentation for UPS, LTL, SH, or air shipments
Enter appropriate inventory movement information into the Maximo system, as needed
Maintain site inventory by assisting in inventory audits, including performing regular cycle counts
Adhere to required safety policies, guidelines, and training
Maintain warehouse cleanliness in compliance with OSHA and Targa safety policies
Take care for the safety and health of yourself and others, report workplace hazards, injuries, or illness immediately
Perform other duties and projects as assigned
Ability to travel up to 100% as project or business demands arise
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
4+ years related warehouse/yard experience
Valid driver license with the ability to meet the Targa vehicle policy
Valid forklift certification
Experience with Oracle and Maximo is a plus
Ability to learn Targa warehouse / yard operations and business processes
Ability to learn federal, health and safety regulations
Read and speak the English language proficiently, understand safety instructions, and respond to
inquiries
Safely use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other materials handling equipment
Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
Basic computer and typing skills
Basic math and reading skills
Regular and reliable attendance
