Overview
Hotel Viking located in beautiful downtown Newport Rhode Island is currently hiring for a Guest Experience Planner-Seasonal Full Time. The hours will be 10am to 7pm. We are looking someone familiar with and well versed with the restaurants and activities in the Newport downtown area. An ideal candidate would be someone who is flexible with a great attitude. The goal of this role is to provide customers with an unforgettable experience in Newport. Join us as a Guest Services Planner and be part of our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:
Review future reservations and proactively call to plan activities in Newport
Personalize guest experience with suggestions on restaurants and museums to visit
Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests with professionalism and empathy
Coordinate and communicate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
Monitor guest satisfaction and respond to feedback in a timely manner
Be prepared to partner with customers in experiencing Newport.
Maintain accurate records and prepare reports related to guest services
Uphold high standards of service excellence and professionalism at all times
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; additional hospitality training is a plus
Previous experience in guest services or front office operations, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role preferred
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Strong leadership and team-building abilities
Friendly and outgoing personality
Knowledge of hotel operations and reservation systems
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
Proficiency in computer systems and software
