SUMMARY: We are seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Director to lead our global recruitment team. In this role you will be responsible for establishing the vision and strategic direction of the team while designing, developing, and implementing talent acquisition programs to achieve business goals in alignment with the organization's strategy. This role will provide consultation and expertise in all areas of Talent Acquisition and will partner closely with our business units and corporate teams. The successful candidate will fully develop an understanding of our business and represent the interests of those areas within and outside of People & Culture. This role will report to the VP, Talent Strategy.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Improve organizational capabilities through effective execution of the Talent Acquisition strategy.
  • Partner with HRIS to determine and lead the technology strategy for the recruiting platform to drive greater efficiencies across the global organization.
  • Ensure talent acquisition implements diverse sourcing strategies to increase the level of diversity hiring across all levels.
  • Create, evaluate, and analyze data and metrics to measure the effectiveness of Talent Acquisition including areas of strength and areas of opportunity.
  • Lead projects to improve effectiveness.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for emerging sourcing strategies to increase the speed and efficiency of finding, attracting, and hiring top talent while incorporating these recommendations into a longer-term TA strategy and roadmap.
  • Develop and execute global recruiting strategies which include sourcing, recruiting best practices, and partnering with internal stakeholders on recruiting initiatives.
  • Continuously innovate talent acquisition initiatives that are aligned to Crowley values and strategic priorities.
  • Create and foster relationships with academic institutions and diverse professional organizations to attract and recruit alumni and diverse candidates.
  • Ensure inclusive recruiting practices across the organization and prioritize the continuous improvement of our hiring practices through the lens of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and champion streamlined practices, workflows, and metrics to measure success.
  • Partner with Total Rewards and the HR business partners to develop and deliver recruiting strategies for new and existing markets globally.
  • Lead a high performing talent acquisition team and support their development through mentoring, coaching, and training.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or a related field; or equivalent combination of post high school education and experience.

EXPERIENCE:


  • 8 years combined experience in corporate human resources, talent acquisition and/or talent management activities.
  • Prior experience managing and leading a talent acquisition function required, and experience leading global teams highly preferred.
  • Prior experience implementing Applicant Tracking System with Workday, Oracle, or other integrated HRIS tools preferred.
  • Experience with workforce develop for future talent needs preferred.

TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook, and Word. Proficient with HR information and talent acquisition management systems and tools.

COMPETENCIES: Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to process effectively and develop change or alternatives. Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously. Ability to mentor, coach, train and/or supervise employees. Ability to demonstrate effective customer service skills. Ability to utilize conflict resolution skills. Ability to manage projects that may vary in nature and scope. Ability to interpret and apply related federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations related to the administration of human resources/labor relations. Knowledge of the principles, practices, and standards of talent acquisition.

OTHER: Ability to travel as necessary.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like. Extended use of a computer keyboard, viewing of a computer monitor and the ability to sit for long periods of time.
