JOB DESCRIPTION



Wood is currently recruiting for a Technical Professional II (Piping Engineer) in Houston, TX to create datasheets, specifications and technical bid tabulations following application of basic scientific/engineering principles and specific procedures.

Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week.

Multiple positions available

Employing entity: Wood Group USA, Inc.

Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days a week.

Domestic travel required up to 5%.

RESPONSIBILITIES




  • Uses the CAD/CAM and database systems and facilities to make layouts, analyze designs, evaluate equipment systems and generate new equipment designs.

  • Prepares documentation, information, communications and engineering specifications and ensures conformance to all policies and procedures related to engineering functions.

  • Consults with other departments on equipment designs, problems and questions.

  • Recommends alterations to design to improve quality of products, processes and /or procedures.

  • Assist with product related problems or to obtain application data at the field site.

  • Prepares reports, correspondence, procedures, specifications and technical calculations.

  • Prepares technical data and papers for sales personnel, customers and publications using good internal presentation and report writing skills.






QUALIFICATIONS



Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, and 3 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate related work experience.

Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience in each of the following:

  • CAESAR II Stress Analysis program;

  • Navisworks;

  • NozzlePRo; and

  • AVEVA Net.

The base salary for this job opportunity is $97,770.61 per year.
