As the Maintenance Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant. Your responsibilities include optimizing maintenance staff utilization, minimizing equipment downtime, and maintaining a safe and functional facility. By proactively addressing equipment issues, you'll contribute to overall plant effectiveness.
Essential Functions:
Safety Leadership:
Direct, maintain, and enforce the safety program within the maintenance department.
Regularly review safety records to uphold the highest safety standards for all employees.
Equipment Operation and Infrastructure:
Safeguard the safe operation of all equipment and building infrastructure.
Balance maintenance budgets and capital expenditures to align with equipment repair needs.
Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:
Ensure equipment maintenance complies with environmental, health, and safety requirements at the city, county, state, and federal levels.
Maintain adherence to NFPA-70E (Arc Flash) guidelines for all maintenance activities.
Team Management and Development:
Lead, supervise, and develop the maintenance department team.
Conduct performance reviews based on job descriptions to assess competency, knowledge, and contributions of maintenance technicians.
Recruitment and Expansion:
Assist in hiring new maintenance personnel.
Collaborate on planning and implementing plant improvements and expansions.
Operational Efficiency:
Implement programs and procedures to ensure plant cleanliness and maintain 6S levels.
Continuously track, analyze, and enhance key maintenance performance indices, including asset utilization, uptime, and preventive maintenance compliance.
Qualifications:
Responsible for learning all equipment which requires a strong mechanical and electrical background.
Must have excellent computer skills to include, but not limited to Microsoft Office, CMMS maintenance program.
Must have proven technical aptitude for electrical and mechanical equipment.
Must possess proven leadership skills with the ability to identify and develop the talents of maintenance personnel.
Must have the ability to work all shifts and follow all environmental, health and safety procedures.
