Occasional backup driver duties may also occur. Unlike most warehouse positions, this position will work regular business hours of Monday-Friday from 7 am-3:30 pm.

What youll do
As a Shipping and Receiving Associate at Solar Atmospheres of Michigan in Chesterfield, you will handle customer products before and after the heat-treating process, ensuring they are handled with care throughout. This role will also serve as a backup delivery driver, delivering customer orders or running errands when our current drivers are off or need assistance. Day-to-day youll:
Receive, pull, and pack orders for customersLoad and unload trucks as neededCheck materials into the computer system to keep accurate records and inventoryOperate standard warehouse equipment such as forklifts, rolling ladders, skid loaders, and other material handling toolsCollaborate and assist co-workers in the shipping department, delivery drivers, and Furnace OperatorsServe as a backup driver when needed to deliver customer orders or run errands using a company Sprinter vanInteract with customers professionally and helpfully, assisting in unloading deliveries, and ensuring paperwork needed is complete (when serving as a backup driver)Perform all other duties as assigned

What you need to thrive in this role
High school diplomaPrior shipping/receiving and delivery driving experience, preferredProficiency in ERP systems and UPS WorldshipValid drivers license and clean driving recordReliability and dependability are a must to ensure our customers products ship on timeOrganizational skills, efficiency, the ability to work independently, and computer skillsAbility to bend, stoop, lift up to 50lbs, and work around material handling equipmentCurrently possess or can obtain a Michigan Chauffeur's License
