Cornell Pump Company is looking for a 2nd shiftGrind, Deburr, Trim, and Balance Operator to set up and perform manual grinding, balancing, and deburring on various metals, castings forgings, and fabrication at our Clackamas, Oregon location. This position is 100% onsite. Hours are 2:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. (Monday - Friday). Shift differential and overtime are available.
The hourly pay range is $21.00 - $23.00 (DOE)

Responsibilities for a Grinder/Balancer:
Must use a respirator and the required PPE
Able to operate forklift and other lifting devices
Follows router on shop orders or non-conformity ticket
Keeps machines and work area clean and free of debris
Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications
Does basic maintenance to machines, including checking and maintaining oils and fluids in machines. Reports problems with the machine
Follow all safety precautions and practices safe working habits. Reports all unsafe conditions and injuries to the supervisor immediately
Works from a "work at machine" schedule on a computer system or from verbal instructions from production control
Uses measuring tools such as dial indicators, micrometers, scales, tape measures, calipers, and other measuring tools
Qualifications for a Grinder/Balancer:
Strong sense of time organization and urgency
Excellent dexterity and hand-eye coordination
Proficiency with technical and warehouse machinery
Detail-oriented and multitasking skills
Ability to work independently and within a team
