Description

The MPS High School Career Connection Program is an annual, paid internship to provide students with visibility and exposure to the field and business of Architecture within our Charlotte, NC studio. Students will be selected from key partner schools for participation, and selections will take place April - May. This summer program will run from May to July and will finish when the school year begins.

Requirements

To be eligible for nomination, students must meet the following requirements:

* Senior year in high school

* Available time to work weekly after school (anywhere from 8-12 hours per week)

* Active driver's license and transportation to the office location

* Designate time to meet with office director and others to interview for internship positions

Student nominees must have consistently demonstrated the following behaviors:

* Effective communication / interpersonal skills

* Ability to collaborate and work with people from various backgrounds, disciplines, etc.

* Ability to work independently as needed to deliver assigned tasks

* Willingness to take initiative and go above and beyond assigned tasks

* Desire to work in the field or business of Architecture / Interior Design (preferred)
