Minimum 15 years experience in the manufacture of Investment Castings with some level of plant operational management.
Experience in producing castings in at least two of the following alloy groups - Aluminum, Superalloy or Titanium.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to lead a team of multinational technical leaders.
Ability to work closely and communicate effectively with all levels of the Howmet organization.

Howmet Engine Products is currently seeking an experienced professional to join our Structural Castings Technical Team. This position will play an important role in the Howmet Engines organization working with the various plants around the world that produce Structural Castings, and assisting them in problem solving, new part introduction (NPI) efforts, cost reduction efforts, and standardization of best practices across the various casting facilities.
Essential Functions:
Extensive knowledge of all aspects of the Investment Casting process and the major customer specifications required on the parts produced.
Working knowledge of at least two of the three major alloy systems for Structural Products - Aluminum, Superalloy and Titanium
Through a dotted line reporting structure, work with the Engineering Managers at the various Structural Casting facilities to:
Develop processes needed to produce parts at the required quality and lowest cost possible.
Work with the casting facilities and the Research Center to develop needed technological advances to produce cutting edge casting designs.
Identify and assist in implementing the best technology and manufacturing practices among the different alloy groups.
Act as the Technical Expert for plants as required for customer interactions.
Work with the structural casting plants to meet the Corporation goals for scrap and rework reduction.
Remain current on technology trends affecting current and potential new markets.
Support customer meetings on new part designs, as required.
Build credibility with key resources both internally and externally.
