DESCRIPTION:
We are currently recruiting for a Sales/Applications Engineer Trainee for US based sales position based in our Corporate Headquarters in Oxford, CT. The Sales/Applications will train in Switzerland at our Schaublin branch for 1 to 3 months, before returning to the U.S. The ideal candidate will make sales contacts, to provide technical support for our Collets & Toolholders product lines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
Developing contacts in your respected region
Developing new leads for all product lines
Developing statistical reports
Follow up on sales leads and making calls on potential customers which includes at least (50%) of your time on the road visiting customers
Determining market strategies & goals for each product and service
Obtain & coordinate data & information from staff & member groups
Ability to be self-sufficient & independent scheduling
Research and develop lists of potential customers
Determine customer needs & providing information to other staff
Evaluate product & service marketability in terms of customers’ technical & manufacturing needs
Maintain up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments that effect target markets
Establish and maintain industry contacts that lead to sales
Work directly with customers to establish a communication path with the customer
Developing sales and marketing proposals for customers on technical products & services
Develop technical presentations & workshops
Maintain up-to-date awareness of activities, industry trends & government regulations
Make regular sales calls to develop relationships and follow up on leads
