What You Will Do
Perform welding activities using various processes such as MIG, TIG, arc, and spot welding.Set up and operate welding equipment including welding machines, torches, and plasma cutters.Interpret and follow technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine welding requirements.Inspect, clean, and maintain welding equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance.Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions or defects, or report issues to the appropriate personnel.Adhere to industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols to ensure compliance.Inspect welded structures and components for defects, distortions, or deviations from specifications.Demonstrate and embrace our company values, our PACT: People, Advance Process, Community, and Trusting Relationships
What You Will Bring
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or vocational training in welding is highly desirable.Proven experience as a Welder, preferably with a minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role.Proficient in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, arc, and spot welding.Strong understanding of different metals, alloys, and welding processes suitable for each material.Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications accurately.Skilled in the safe operation and maintenance of welding equipment and tools.Knowledge of welding safety protocols and practices.Experience with quality assurance and inspection techniques for welded assemblies.Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality workmanship.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.Effective communication skills to collaborate and communicate with team members and supervisors.Physical stamina and dexterity to perform welding tasks in various positions and environments.
