Responsibilities

What you'll be challenged to do:

TranSystems seeks a detail oriented Corporate Accounting Administrator with strong problem solving skills.  This person must have excellent written, communication, and math skills as well as the ability to multi-task several different responsibilities.  An individual that works well under pressure in a fast-paced team-oriented environment and knows how to prioritize as well as when to involve upper management is desirable for this position.

 

Provides project support to local office project administrative staff, including project setup, invoicing, accounts receivables/payables, document processing, and other related tasks; basic project support; and special projects as directed by your supervisor.  Must have excellent computer and customer service skills.

 

 

Responsibilities May Include:

 


  • Review the set up of new projects in system workflow, Costpoint (financial software) and Project Forecast against company policy and procedures

  • Review contract documents for required scope, fee, insurance and authorization

  • Review project amendment contracting documents and budget adjustments

  • Review subconsultant agreements and certificate of insurance to verify client requirements are met

  • Assist local office billing staff with issues processing client invoices

  • Assist with project reviews

  • Act as the corporate point of contact for assigned offices

  • Ability to handle multiple projects and flexible to change

  • Daily communication with local Project Accounting teams with project setup/supplementing, invoicing and other issues as they arise

  • Daily & Diverse communication with Project Managers and local/area/regional leadership                                                                                                               

  • Assist with Onboarding, to include training on all TranSystems accounting systems

  • Assist Vice President of Project Accounting with various task as assigned      

  • Backup to Accounts Payable Specialist, when needed, on reviewing Accounts Payables (Perceptive Content) and Employee Expense Reports (Concur)

Qualifications

What you bring to our firm:


  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in an accounting/administrative role.  Four year degree(or working toward degree) may be substituted for experience.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite mainly Excel. 

  • Experienced in frequent interface with company peers, office personnel, middle and upper management, corporate employees, and client 

  • Actively engages multiple perspectives when solving problems, seeks to learn from peers, and encourages reciprocal learning among team members.

What we’d prefer for you to bring to our firm:


  • Four year degree

  • Background in contract review and project setup with an engineering or construction company

  • Architectural/Engineering industry experience

  • Familiarity with Deltek products (Vision, CostPoint, VantagePoint)
