Proposal Specialist

Urban Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Proposal Specialist to join our growing New Jersey Operations. This position will be responsible for working as a partner with our project managers and technical staff in transportation planning, design, and construction services to lead, organize, develop, and execute proposal submissions for our clients including NJDOT, NJTA, DRPA, NJ DBC, SJTA and many others. The ideal candidate will have experience in proposal development, marketing, or business development in the A/E/C industry.

Responsibilities

• Assist technical engineering staff and managers with coordinating, compiling, editing and proofreading proposals and qualifications packages.
• Produce proposals including formatting, quality assurance, and proposal submission, both electronic and printed.
• Maintain schedule, tracking system and checklists for quality, on time delivery of SOQ / Proposals.
• Coordinate with teaming partners on all pursuits.
• Prepare or assemble written and visual information for client presentations.
• Develop resumes, project profiles, and other collateral marketing materials.
• Update and maintain employee information in Deltek Vision CRM.

Requirements :

• A Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communication, Marketing or similar.
• At least two years of hands-on experience in developing and generating proposal and qualification submissions.
• Experience in Engineering, Architectural, Construction or other professional services firm preferred.
• Specific knowledge of Standard Forms 330 is preferred.
• Candidate must possess strong writing, proofreading, and editing skills.
• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite.

• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and InDesign.
• Experience with the Deltek Vision system is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, time management, and organization skills are required.
