Job Summary

The IT Project Manager is actively engaged in planning, organizing, managing, and executing IT Systems and Technology projects. This position will work with a dynamic and motivated team responsible for assessing, validating, and maintaining KLS Projects. Work closely with IT leadership to initiate and manage projects, groom backlogs, coordinate resources, ensure project timelines, track project budgets, oversee deployments, and provide regular project reports.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities


  • Project Planning and Execution: Support planning, execution, and closure of IT projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, and develop project plans.
  • Resource Coordination and Management: Coordinate project resources, including internal team members to ensure optimal allocation and utilization. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project team members, fostering a culture of accountability, responsibility, and teamwork.
  • Budget and Timeline Management: Manage project budgets by tracking expenses and resource utilization to ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets. Monitor project timelines, identify potential risks and dependencies, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track. Ensures stakeholder engagement and provides a forum for issue/risk escalation and decision-making.
  • Deployment and Implementation Oversight: Oversee the deployment and implementation of IT solutions and systems, ensuring adherence to quality standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements. Coordinate testing, training, and change management activities to facilitate smooth transitions and minimize disruptions to business operations.
  • Project Reporting and Communication: Provide regular project status updates and reports to key stakeholders, highlighting progress, milestones achieved, and any issues or risks requiring attention. Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and reviews to solicit feedback, address concerns, and drive decision-making processes. Conduct post-deployment implementation reports to ensure user satisfaction.
  • Stakeholder and Cross-Functional Relationship Cultivation: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and end-users, to understand their needs, priorities, and expectations. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across various departments to ensure alignment of project objectives with overall business goals and strategies. Facilitate communication, collaboration, and consensus-building among stakeholders and team members to drive project success and foster a culture of partnership and mutual trust.
Qualifications

Educational and Experience Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field required. Proven experience as an IT Project Manager, with a track record of successfully delivering complex IT projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong project management skills, including proficiency in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials preferred.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software applications, such as Microsoft Project, Wrike, Jira, or Asana.
